why do we often feel as if we are unqualified?
Is it because we too have once sat in the dark?
Perhaps we take a moment to reminisce our childhood
and the fear we associated with the dark.
For most children, the dark is frightening and elicits fear of
the unknown in terms of what we cannot see.
However, the minute we flipped the switch and the lights turned on,
our fear disappeared. That is because light dispels darkness.
Therefore, just as the light dispelled the darkness in our bedroom as a child,
the light of Christ will evanesce the darkness in the world.
So, regardless of our so called “qualifications” or dark pasts,
Christ has purposefully called us out of darkness to be the light ..."

Kirstyn was born & raised in Houston, Texas.
She is currently a student-athlete studying communications &
sociology at the University of Washington.
As creator & author of "Arise & Shine," it is Kirstyn's greatest desire
to empower & help others find fulfillment by living a Christ-centered life.
Through inspiring stories & testimonies, she hopes
to help illuminate the Divine nature of God's love
& encourage others to pursue their own journey
and "be the light" in this world.
Kirstyn's goal in life is to one day start her own
