The Bible says ... "You are the light of the world. Let your light shine before others so they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven." Mathew 5:14-16
"Even though Christ proclaims that we are the light,
why do we often feel as if we are unqualified?
Is it because we too have once sat in the dark?
Perhaps we take a moment to reminisce our childhood
and the fear we associated with the dark.
For most children, the dark is frightening and elicits fear of
the unknown in terms of what we cannot see.
However, the minute we flipped the switch and the lights turned on,
our fear disappeared. That is because light dispels darkness.
Therefore, just as the light dispelled the darkness in our bedroom as a child,
the light of Christ will evanesce the darkness in the world.
So, regardless of our so called “qualifications” or dark pasts,
Christ has purposefully called us out of darkness to be the light ..."
