Up to this time, the village did not have a Christian church,
and the people living there lacked any understanding
of the power and love of Jesus.
In the middle of the film showing,
a woman approached the visiting pastor and asked
if what she was watching was true.
She wanted to know if what she saw could be
real for her life!

The Transcript ~
Hello, my name is Erick Mendez. I'm from Guatemala and I work for Campus Crusade for Christ. When Pastor Francisco announced about the film, many people came out to see the film. And during the film when Jesus began performing miracles, a woman approached him and asked,
"Sir, what you are showing me, it is true?
Or is this only a movie?"
Pastor Francisco told her that it was the public story of Jesus, and that everything they were watching was real and truthful.
The woman asked Francisco, "So to see one of those miracles, one of those things He does, what do we need to do?"
Pastor Francisco said to her, "We just have to pray and believe that God can do the miracle!"
The woman asked him again, "And what do I need to do, so that I can see one of those miracles in my life?"
"Just believe and pray to God!"
Pastor Francisco told me that she turned around and left ....
A few minutes later, she came back with her child, a three-year-old girl, who was born with a physical condition and couldn't walk. And she said to the pastor, I want you to pray for my daughter, so that Jesus will do a miracle for her."
Pastor Francisco told me, "I believed that the Lord was going to do a miracle, so I decided to pray for her. And so we prayed together. When we finished, the woman asked me, "And what do I do next?"
"We just have to wait for God to do a miracle."
The woman went back to her house. A few minutes later, they all heard a lot of screaming and crying, and they had to stop the film showing because of the chaos.
Then the woman came back crying & screaming,
because her child was right behind her ---
RUNNING!
Because God had done a miracle in this person's life. And this child had started to run after not being able to walk during her first three years! Many of the people who were watching the film accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. And a church was born in that remote place in Guatemala!
Wide awake is Mary. My, how young she looks! Her head rests on the soft leather of Joseph's saddle. The pain has been eclipsed by wonder. She looks into the face of the baby. Her son. Her Lord. His Majesty....
"The Lord has anointed me ...to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners" ~ Isaiah 61:1 Recently, a story was told of new believers in a remote desert area who asked for help. "There's a village close by, where 200 children are held and trained to sacrifice themselves in a holy war"
"My name is Dorcas. This is the name I adopted after I met Jesus. My life has been that of toil and endless search for that which would give me peace ....until now."
