"Mary's love for her baby boy....JESUS"

by Karl Ogg

"Prayer:  Mary was blessed, by God and was given a Baby Boy, who is our beloved Jesus. Mothers are blessed with a newborn, a gift from God. Mothers that love their little ones as Mary loved Jesus are blessed beyond measure from God. May the Lord watch over all mothers. Amen.

Mary Mother to be:

It was a beautiful day, but not like other days, it was a beautiful summer day. The clouds floated overhead. The sun was warm. A slight breeze carried the sweet small blossoms in the air.

Mary, Jesus’ Mother–to-be, was returning from the well with cool sweet water. She paused in the doorway and looked back at how nice this special day was. Mary enjoyed walking to the well as it gave her time to reflect on her day and her love for God. She was able to enjoy her walk as she visited with friends. She is not aware how this day would change her. This will be a most wonderful day for Mary...

For God found favor in her

This day was special because Mary had an angelic visitor. Gabriel appeared to Mary in human form. Mary was afraid and stood in awe. She looked at the Angel. He was a large figure of a man and there was a glow around him, as the sun. Mary stood without moving and found peace in her heart as Gabriel talked to her.

Gabriel was there to carry out God’s plan. Gabriel spoke to Mary saying “Congratulations, for God has found favor in you.” Mary was a virgin and was engaged to be married to Joseph.  She was confused at what Gabriel to told her. “Do not be frightened Mary; for God has decided to wonderfully bless you. You will become pregnant and have a baby boy. You are to name him Jesus. He will be the Son of God.  A baby boy for you to love and raise, so he will follow his father’s plan.”                                                                                                                                                                           Mary, replied: “how can I have child, for I am virgin?" The Angel told her that the Lord would be with her with peace and love. She would become pregnant with a baby boy “Jesus,’’ the Son of God. Mary said;  “ I am the Lord’s servant, and willing to do whatever God wants of me.” She was worried what Joseph would feel and do.

Joseph, Mary’s fiancé, loved Mary. But being a man of principles, he had decided to break off the engagement and do it quietly. But, in a dream he saw an angel standing beside him. “Joseph,” said the angel,  “Take Mary as your wife, for the baby within her has been conceived by the Holy Spirit.’’  When Joseph awoke, he did as the angel asked him and brought Mary home to be his wife. Mary’s heart was filled with love and thankfulness as Joseph accepted Mary to be his wife.

Caesar Augustus decreed that a census should be taken throughout the nation. All people were required to go to their ancestral homes to register. Joseph took Mary, his wife to be with him to Bethlehem. Mary was obviously pregnant and it became time for the baby to be born. Joseph tried to find a proper place for Jesus to be born. But the town was full with people for the census so there was nowhere for Mary to have her baby. Mary gave birth to her son, Jesus. She wrapped him warmly and placed him in a manger for there was no room for them in the village. Jesus was born in a manger with the animals. Mary’s baby boy was named Jesus. The love of a new mother filled her heart.

Mary! When did you know?

When did you know that your baby boy would stop a storm and walk on water and saved his disciples from sin?

Mary how did you know that your baby boy would save the world?

How did you know that this baby boy came to make us new and whole?

That this child would be delivered to the world to be put to death?

Did you know that your baby boy would make the blind see, and the deaf hear?

Because, of your baby boy the lame will leap for joy, the dumb will tell stories and the dead will live! That the hope we are all looking for the new Heaven! One day your baby boy will rule the nations!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Mary, your baby boy is The Great I AM! Did you know?

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only one and only son, Jesus, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world but the world through him might be saved." John 3:16- 17.

Mary’s happiness came when
she saw her baby boy, Jesus.
Mary’s final reward will be with her baby boy
and his Father, God."
